It is a naturally existing disinfectant, and so is free of alcohol, preservatives, fragrances, and does not contain harmful chemical additives like Bleach does. Its active ingredient, HOCl, is effective against three major pathogens, including bacteria, viruses and fungi and is 80 times more effective as a disinfectant compared to the same concentration of bleach, which is a harmful substance.

Alcohol's rapid evaporation causes it to only provide temporary disinfecting.

Publications by organizations like the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Japan's Ministry of Health, and the U.S. National Library of Medicine confirm that HOCl is effective as a disinfectant.

Specific testing of JcoNAT solution has been carried out in Labs the US and the UK on many types of pathogens and confirm that it can kill more than 99.99% of many types of enteroviruses and influenza viruses (e.g. salmonella and H1N1).

JcoNAT is a multi-use antiseptic and disinfectant. It has powerful antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties.

Since its active ingredient is HOCl (Hypochlorous acid: see Why HOCl for a more detailed information), it is much safer and more powerful than conventional disinfectants such as Chlorine, Alcohol, etc.

HOCl (Hypochlorous acid) is the substance that cells in our body use to fight infections and kill invading pathogens.

It is not only one of the most effective known biocides capable of killing 99.99% of all pathogens, it is also the safest one.

It used to be a challenge to manufacture HOCl that could stay stable and keep its disinfecting properties.

Researchers in Japan and the West were finally successful in designing production equipment to achieve this, and so bottled form HOCl is now commercially available from companies such as JcoNAT.

Some products in the market that use the terminology “HOCL” are actually hypochlorite based.

Hypochlorite based products are those that contain a mixture of hypochlorous acid and sodium hypochlorite at an acidic pH. These products tend to be unstable and can decompose rapidly.Sodium hypochlorite is corrosive and can damage fabrics for example.

JcoNAT solution contains only HOCl and water, and so does not contain any chemicals such as broad beans, camphor, other ingredients that would cause concern to them.

Yes, JcoNAT can effectively kill bacteria and viruses on kitchenware.

JcoNAT effectively removes odours in and around refrigerators, air conditioners, shoe cabinets, trash cans, clothing, pet sand boxes, etc. It does not use fragrances to cover these odours. Instead JcoNAT kills the source of odour which is bacteria.

JcoNAT is not harmful to animals and insects, but it can break down the excrements and carcasses of dust mites, which are a source of its allergens.

Yes, JcoNAT is not corrosive. After disinfecting, it is rapidly reduced back to H2O, and hence does not harm any material.

JcoNAT can effectively degrade formaldehyde, but since formaldehyde is constantly released from the surface of the objects in question (such as furniture and walls), it is recommended that JcoNAT be sprayed on the object regularly until it no longer smells of formaldehyde.

JcoNAT completely decomposes back to water after usage, and so it will not cause any pollution or leave residue. It is as far as we know the most environmentally friendly pus effective disinfectant.

JcoNAT solution needs to be placed in a cool place with a temperature of no more than 25 degrees Celsius, and away from sun exposure.

Since HOCl is easily decomposed by sunlight, it is recommended to use a bottle provided by JcoNAT, since our bottles are specially designed to block sunlight and allow for better preservation.

Unopened 30ml has a shelf-life of 4 months, 60ml/250ml/1000ml/4L products have a shelf-life of one year.

It is important to note that after opening, the different size products have shelf-life as follows:

* 30ml/60ml /250ml : after opening, finish using within 3 months.

* 1000ml Refiller and 4L Refiller: after opening, finish using within 6 to 9 months (UV and high temperature will affect the performance of this product - please store in a cool place to avoid light, and twist the cap tight)

Yes, it can be placed in a handbag for example and taken out for use, as long as direct sunlight and high temperatures are avoided
